The Proper Fit

The Two-Width System

Our longstanding experience in the shoemaking business has shown us that most people are not satisfied with the fit of their shoes.  This stems from the fact that many shoes are made in various lengths, but not in various footbed widths.  For this reason, we offer our deep footbed in two widths: normal width for normal feet and narrow width for particularly slender feet.  Our upper materials are perfectly adapted to the respective footbed widths, allowing for a perfect fit.

Right Amount of Room

There should always be enough room in the heel and toe areas.  When your heel is correctly positioned in the footbed, there must be a few millimetres of space at the front.  The feet need this free space for the natural movement of the foot when walking.  Your toes need a certain amount of space to be able to move freely with each step you take.  Your toes must under no circumstances touch the edge of the footbed and your heel must not stand on the edge of the footbed.  If you make sure you have the correct width and length when buying, you will increase the life of your footwear.

In combination with the adjustment options allowed for by the straps using buckles, you can perfectly and individually adapt our models to your feet.  Before trying them on, put one hand under the toe and one under the heel, then flex the footbed a few times. This will initiate the break in period and will help your new sandals feel comfy sooner.

Open all straps and step into the footbed. Close the straps comfortably, leaving enough space to allow your feet the freedom of movement. Exhale and enjoy.
